Jacob Newsome, B.S.
Founder, Sinclair Scholars & Power of the Narrative, LLC
I created Sinclair Scholars because I know what it’s like to be failed by a system that was never designed for you to win.
I grew up as a student in environments that pathologized my identity, overlooked my brilliance, and punished my trauma. What saved me wasn’t just academics, it was narrative. It was learning how to reclaim my story before someone else wrote my ending for me.
Sinclair Scholars exists for the students who are “too much,” “too quiet,” “too behind,” or “too angry.” We meet them exactly where they are, then show them how powerful they’ve been all along.
We’re not just a tutoring program. We’re academic rescue and emotional revolution. Our students don’t just catch up, they come alive.
Because when students rewrite their story, they reclaim their future. And I built Sinclair Scholars to make that possible.
